4th of July Nail Art Challenge: July 30th

Today is American Pride. That is a pretty abstract idea but I came up with printing USA and making the letters look patriotic. On my pinky and thumb, I made a bursting firework like design with some rhinestone hearts I got for Valentines Day and forgot to use....

Nail Polish Used:
Wet n Wild "Ebony Hates Chris"
Sinful Colors "Snow Me White"

NOTD: Pink Side Dots

I found this look on Pinterest. It is super simple and the colors look so nice with each other. I just love this pink color from Drew Barrymore's Flower line of cosmetics. It is very pretty and is just on overall great polish.

I created a nail art challenge for myself! It is Fourth of July, US Independence Day, themed! I made it start on the 28th. It should be fun!! I am also going to spice up my blog by writing a post about my family's tea collection. This is inspired by Chantal Halley from Chantal's Corner!

Nail Polish Used:
Flower "First Bloom"
Wet n Wild "Ebony Hates Chris"
Wet n Wild "I Need a Refresh-Mint"
Sinful Colors "Snow Me White"

NOTD: Orange Dotticure

Today's nail art was inspired by an orange bracelet! I was looking for things around my house to be inspired by when I found this. I think it would have turned out a little better if I had used a lighter orange as the base. Things to keep in mind for the future!

Nail Polish Used:
Revlon "Tangerine"
Pure Ice "Hot Tamale"
Wet n Wild "Sunny Side Up"

For a few weeks, the Walmart here has had several nail polishes in a little clearance basket. They were only marked down maybe $.50. Pretty lame. A few days ago, I went and discovered everything had been marked down to $1!! Sweet! I got several and most are from brands I have not tried yet!
Here is what I got:

     Smell the Roses
     Versailles Romance

Flower (Drew Barrymore's collection!!)
     Venus Fly Trap
     First Bloom

Revlon
    Tangerine

Updated Swatches: Pure Ice

One of my first posts was pictures of all of my Pure Ice nail polish. It is one of my more popular posts but it is so outdated and is in need of new pictures. Here is my update so people looking for swatches of different Pure Ice can find what they are looking for!
I used to have this really pretty moss green called First Time. Unfortunately, it was knocked off my counter and it broke. It is also discontinued and my Walmart has gotten rid of all of those polishes. :(

Last year, Revlon purchased Pure Ice and Bon Bons, so there are many polishes that have been discontinued or renamed. I have many of them and will put a * by the name. Here is a link to the full list.

Iced Merlot*, All Nighter. Sleigh Ride, First Love

Hot Tamale, Twinkle

Gold Dust*, Bite Me, Jaguar*, Playtime

Power Me Up, Wild Thing, Razzle and Dazzle, Mint Dream*

Celestial, Calypso*, Heart Breaker, Splash, A List

Outrageous, Twinkle (yeah, same name as the orange one)

A List is on this swatch

Don't You Wish, Platinum, Kiss Me Here, Beware, Oh Baby!*, Fivesome

NOTD: Turquoise Stone

This look has been popping up all over my YouTube account! I decided it was high time to try it out. For the turquoise color, I layered "Mint Dream" on top of "I Need a Refresh-Mint". You then add a little bit of gold polish and get out your watermarble supplies. Drop a drop of black polish into the water then spray it with an alcohol based body spray or something similar. This creates a pattern like turquoise!.

Tip: To avoid getting polish on your hands when you do the water step, you can tape around your fingers or use Vaseline. I prefer the Vaseline because I really hate dealing with tape!! I also like the way the polish just slides off my fingers. :D

Nail Polish Used:
Wet n Wild "I Need a Refresh-Mint"
Pure Ice "Mint Dream"

NOTD: Pink Lemonade!

Mmmmm, what's better than a tall glass of lemonade on a hot summer day? Not much!! I prefer to split it half lemonade and half tea to make myself an Arnold Palmer, but anything along those lines is tasty.
This was inspired by a picture my friend found on Pinterest. There seem to be a bunch of great ideas for nails on there, maybe I should look at it more often.

NOTD: Peacocks

I was again inspired by my friend for this one! I did a peacock look a while ago but it didn't turn out so well. Here is my redemption! On my right hand, I have your normal peacock and on my left, and albino inspired peacock!! I really like how my normal peacock turned out. I think the albino needs a few changes but I am still happy,

Swatch: Revlon Girly

I have had my eye on this polish for a while now! I finally decided to get it, and I love it!! I love the different sized glitters and colors. It is totally unique to me, I have nothing like it in my collection. I think I used three layers for full coverage.
