NOTD: Super Pink Wow Wow

I didn't know what else to call this.... Hahaha!!! I saw it come across my Facebook page and had to try it out! I haven't used my large rhinestones in a while so I was happy to do so here. I also got to use some striping tape! I need to do more with that. I have several colors.
This took me a while to do, but it was so worth it.

For some reason I didn't take a picture of the polish....

Collection: I won more Nicole!

I entered in a Nicole by OPI contest before Christmas and was a runner-up!! My prize came in the mail last week and here is what I won.

They sent me 28 randomly selected nail polishes.
I won a contest with them last year, you can see the post about it here and swatches here
The ones that they selected for me are from the Selena Gomez and Modern Family collections. That caused some overlap with what I got last time. I will be giving those away to my friends. I didn't take pictures of them because I thought that would be redundant.

Thank you Nicole!

Scarlett, A Like-Haley Story..., Spring Break, Naturally, I do de-Claire!

Selena, Hit the Lights, Alex by the Books, What's the Mitch-uation?

Love Song, Back in my Gloria Days..., Am I Making Myself Claire?*,  My Jay or the Highway, A Phil's Paradise

Playing Catch Up: Christmas

I did a few things for Christmas but only got pictures for two. *sigh* Oh, well. I also did a look for Thanksgiving that turned out really cute but that didn't make the camera either.

So, on my right hand, I have a mixture of cute things. Pudding, sweater, gingerbread man, Santa, and Christmas lights.

On my left I have the Holiday Flakes nail art stickers I found on clearance after Christmas last year. I totally forgot about them till the day after Christmas to be honest... They lasted several days till I took them off on New Years Eve. You can tell they weren't exactly the right size for me. Meh, It wasn't bothersome. I bet I could have trimmed it down before I put them on, but it worked.

For Christmas I got this cool set of glitters. I believe they are from Ross and of course, they do not have any names. The brand is "Simple Pleasures". One metallic gold polish, and pink, red, orange, silver, blue, and purple glitters. They are made of micro glitter and have a colored jelly base. They also come with that strange smell that only department store nail polishes seem to have. I wonder what that smell is.... It is so strange.

Playing Catch Up: Birthday Gifts

I have wonderful friends. For my birthday, they got me several nail polish things!

My friend Kristin gave me this neat 3-in-1 nail polish pen. You can paint, draw, and add rhinestones. She also got me a little L.A. Colors mini set.

Nana got me Nutra Nail Gel Perfect in "Tangerine", Sally Hansen Salon Effects in "Misbehaved", Wet n Wild in "The Clock Strikes Orange". She also got me a little set of pastel gel pens. Turns out you can use them for nail art too!
I tested out the Gel Perfect. It is very strange. You do not need an LED or UV lamp. You put on an activator,  then mix the color in with it, switch brushes, and repeat. It smelled like super glue exactly. I jokingly said how I super glued nail polish to my fingers. I probably did. It dried alright but it had a weird feeling and my nails felt freaky too. Not that 'freaky' is a very descriptive word, but it did feel weird. The color was pretty though!

And last but not least, Sarah got me this neat Caviar Bead set. It comes with pink and silver beads and nail polish and a mixing dish for the beads. I tested it out and I LOVE the pink polish. It is very, very pretty.

Playing Catch Up: Purchases in Louisville

In Louisville, KY for the National FFA Convention, I decided to do some shopping. We stopped at a Walgreens and I found these two things.

Sinful Colors "Unwrap Me"
Nabi dark nude crackle

The crackle polish was on sale and I looked at it and thought to myself, "what a strange color to be a crackle, I must get it." It dries into a matte and is an ok crackle. I don't know what I am going to use it over though... I've never heard of this brand and will probably never see it again.

I tested out "Unwrap Me" over Nicole "You Can!"

Playing Catch Up: Halloween

Well, hello there again. I have no clue what happened so I am not going to make any excuses on why I was gone.
Here was my last Halloween look. It was for the Walking Dead. I have never watched the show, but I enjoyed the video game. The nasty looking ring finger has black half pearls on it to look like pustules on a zombie. They were very, very annoying. I  wanted to pick them off. I used all acrylic paint on these. I forgot to take a picture of it, of course and now I don't remember what I used.
