Playing Catch Up: Christmas

I did a few things for Christmas but only got pictures for two. *sigh* Oh, well. I also did a look for Thanksgiving that turned out really cute but that didn't make the camera either.

So, on my right hand, I have a mixture of cute things. Pudding, sweater, gingerbread man, Santa, and Christmas lights.

On my left I have the Holiday Flakes nail art stickers I found on clearance after Christmas last year. I totally forgot about them till the day after Christmas to be honest... They lasted several days till I took them off on New Years Eve. You can tell they weren't exactly the right size for me. Meh, It wasn't bothersome. I bet I could have trimmed it down before I put them on, but it worked.

For Christmas I got this cool set of glitters. I believe they are from Ross and of course, they do not have any names. The brand is "Simple Pleasures". One metallic gold polish, and pink, red, orange, silver, blue, and purple glitters. They are made of micro glitter and have a colored jelly base. They also come with that strange smell that only department store nail polishes seem to have. I wonder what that smell is.... It is so strange.

Playing Catch Up: Halloween

Well, hello there again. I have no clue what happened so I am not going to make any excuses on why I was gone.
Here was my last Halloween look. It was for the Walking Dead. I have never watched the show, but I enjoyed the video game. The nasty looking ring finger has black half pearls on it to look like pustules on a zombie. They were very, very annoying. I  wanted to pick them off. I used all acrylic paint on these. I forgot to take a picture of it, of course and now I don't remember what I used.

NOTD: Halloween Town

One of my favorite Halloween movies is Halloweentown. If you've never heard of it, seriously, look it up! Its a Disney kids movie, haha.
I did some nails based off of it! On my thumb I have Benny the tax driving skeleton when he is angry, the magical wand thingy that helps break the spell, and the Jack-o-Lantern that is a figure of the town. I didn't know what else to paint so I just put H and T for Halloweentown.. So creative.... Again, I waited too long to take these pictures and they are a little chipped.

Paint Used:
Americana "White Wash"
                 "Ebony"
                 "Cranberry Wine"
                 "Saffron Yellow"
Apple Barrel "Brown Oxide"
Folk Art "Metallic Silver Sterling"

NOTD: Easter Eggs

On my right hand this week, I created Easter eggs. I wanted to try different lines and patterns to strengthen my left hand skills. The waves are a little sketchy and the zig-zag on my pointer needs some work but overall I think it is a nice look. The colors are bright and great Easter colors! I had my acrylic paints out for the Easter bunny look so I used the white to paint the patterns. Acrylic paint really is a easier to work with when it comes to painting things and it is very easy to wash off it it doesn't look right. I used my detail brush (Brand: Daler Rowney, size: 2/0, purchased: Micheal's).

Paints and Polish Used:
Americana "White Wash"
Beauty UK in medium/dark blue, dark hot pink, medium green, and medium purple
Wet n Wild "Sunny Side Up"

NOTD: Easter Bunnies!

I bring to you a hopping Easter bunny manicure!! I found this look last year on YouTube and tried it out.. lets just say it is much better this year! The little bunnies are hopping around up to the clouds! The one on my pinky had to take a rest so he is sitting on the ground. I decided I hadn't used acrylic paint in a while and this would be the perfect look to paint with them! I mixed the blues for the clouds and the greens and yellows for the grass. The tools I used were a couple of dotting tools and for the grass I used my fan brush (Brand: Royal & Langnickel, size: 20/0, purchased: Micheal's).

Paint and Polish Used:
Americana  "Royal Fuchsia"
                   "Saffron Yellow"
                   "Citron Green"
                   "Calypso Blue"
                   "Lamp (Ebony) Black"
                   "White Wash"
Folk Art "Baby Pink"
Beauty UK in a medium/dark blue

NOTD: First Day of Spring!

Happy first day of spring!!!! For you today, I have a daffodil manicure! Well, more like daffo-fails........ I did these late last night and I only painted five petals out of the six daffodils really have. I also made the center lighter then the petals when it really should be darker then the petals. Meh, they are still pretty! The daffodil I picked this morning was frozen. I think it made a bad decision to bloom early. We had snow yesterday, some way to start off spring!

Nail Polish Used:
Nicole "Stand by Your Manny"
Color Club "Snow-Flakes"
Diamond Cosmetics in lime and bold yellow
Wet n Wild "The Wonder Yellows" -- It is almost gone! Need to get a new one!

NOTD: FFA nails for National FFA Week!

It is National FFA Week and that means it's time for an FFA design!! What I did was take different emblems in FFA, shrunk them, printed them off, cut them out, put some topcoat over the blue, and stuck down the emblem. Some parts of them ripped off today but because it was so small I didn't feel like repairing it. I think you get the idea what is should look like.

Here are my links to my other FFA nail art ideas:

Holiday: Valentine's Day Cupid Arrows

I had a teacher suggest that I paint an arrow hitting a heart for my next Valentine's look! She thought I should draw a little Cupid but I decided that would be a little too hard painting on my right hand! (I did the Chinese New Year look on my left hand)
I have a little bow shooting an arrow, its path through the sky then hitting a heart. On my thumb I  put some hugs and kisses. :))

Nail Polish Used:
Sinful Colors "Snow Me White"
Pure Ice "All Nighter"
Sally Hansen "Blue Me Away!"
Diamond Cosmetics in white and black

Holiday: Chinese/Lunar New Year!

Happy Chinese New Year! In honor of today, I did some  nail art!
I found this design on YouTube and the lady that did it said what the flowers and colors stand for: Gold and Red colors are lucky colors and are chosen to wear in the new year. Golden flowers (hoa mai) and Pink flowers (hoa dao) represent luck and happiness. Either one will be present in each home during this holiday season.
Pretty cool!! I recreated her design and I love how it turned out!
Also, look up at my website's name in that little tab on your browser, I added a picture! How do you like it?

Nail Polish Used:
Pure Ice "Jaguar"
              "Playtime"
              "All Nighter"
Wet n Wild "The Wonder Yellows"
Sinful Colors "Snow Me White
