NOTD: Animal Print Fun

What a colorful animal print!! I tried this two in one look and spiced it up even more with some rhinestones. I loved doing the tiger stripes, they just look so cool! I painted on the pink and then the orange. I took the orange's brush and made it so it would be a little gradient. It is a fun pop of color in the winter.
Nail Polish Used:
Revlon "Always Flaunting"
Sinful Colors "Cloud 9"
Pure Ice "Platinum"
Diamond Cosmetics in black
Art Deco in purple
Bon Bon's glitter

+ gold, dark pink, and purple rhinestones

NOTD: Fantastical Feathers

This is such a pretty manicure and has made my top 10 favorites for sure. With the purple-pink-orange gradient, sparkles, and whimsical white feathers, it is unique and beautiful. I saw this on YouTube and had to recreate it. It was very simple but it has amazing results! Some of my feathers I am not sure pass as feathers, but it still looks neat. In my pictures I was experimenting with lighting and location, I think I found a new spot I like when I take pictures at night and don't have the natural sunlight!

Nail Polish Used:
Wet n Wild "On a Trip"
Wet n Wild "Sunny Side Up"
Sinful Colors "Forget Now"
Bon Bon's multicolored glitter
Diamond Cosmetics in white

Day 29: Inspired by the Supernatural/ Sci-Fi

I am going to switch up the name of this day to Sci-Fi. I did Doctor Who nails and I realllllly wanted to do them for this day but he is not exactly supernatural. I decided that I could do what ever the heck I wanted on my blog, so, I altered the day just a tiny bit.

These were based off of the seasons with Matt Smith in them. I did his little bow-tie and suspenders, a red Dalek , his little green sonic screwdriver, a Tardis, and the DW logo. Thank you to my brother who let me borrow his sonic screwdriver as a prop.

Polish Used:
Pure Ice "Celestial"
NYC "Big Apple Red", "Black Lace", "French White Tip"
Revlon "Gold Coin"
Diamond Cosmetics lime, white, and black
Art Deco in red and silver glitter
Bon Bon's in copper

Day 13: Animal Print

I did not go for the usual zebra stripe or cheetah print, this is snake skin! I have done this before but decided I wanted to try it again! To get this look I painted my nails a light nude color then took a large netting a dabbed copper nail polish over it. I then took a smaller netting and dabbed black over that. Ta-dah! Snake skin!! If you see the large chunks missing out of the tops of my index and middle fingers that was from me accidentally catching the polish when I was cleaning up the polish from my skin. Oops! There really wasn't an easy way to fix it so I just left it.

Polish used:
Markwins in a light nude (this is another one with matching lipstick)
Bon Bon's in copper
NYC "Black Lace"

Day 9: Rainbow

Once again, I am a day late. I am two days behind on my postings :( Today I am seriously going to post day 10 so I can catch up.

Anyway, it is rainbow!! It took me a little bit to decide what I wanted to do for this but I found a tutorial for this "dripping" paint manicure. I watched it and made my own version. On my right hand for some reason I did something completely different. They are supposed to be rainbow pinwheels or beach balls. I love how bright the colors came out on these. People at school really loved them.

Polish used:
NYC "White French Tip" and "Black Lace"
Pure Ice "Don't You Wish"
Art Deco in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple
Bon Bons in a blue green (the blue art deco was just blue sparkles so I filled it in with this)

Day 2: Orange

Next up is orange! I decided to do something I have never tried before... Ombre nails! I think a while ago I said I was going to try them, so, here they are! These are all the oranges I have. I was lucky I had five to work with! I think I will try this with different colors next time. I have lots of purple I think would work great for an ombre look.

Nail Polish Used:

Pure Ice "Hot Tamale"
Sinful Colors "Cloud 9"
Wet n' Wild "Sunny Side Up"
Pure Ice "Twinkle" -- still my favorite :)
Bon Bon's peachy-orange (no name)

NOTD: Back to School

Nail polish used:
Avon "Olive Green"
Pure Ice "Beware"
Bon Bon's in silver
Art Deco in silver glitter

Art Deco red, orange, and yellow
NYC "Black Lace"
Sinful Colors in gold glitter

NOTD: Cotton Candy

I saw a picture of this manicure and just had to try it!! It took me a little bit to figure out a color combination that stood out enough but I found it! After painting on a white base coat to make the colors stand out, I took a make up sponge and painted on the pink then the blue letting them overlap. I then sponged the colors on to my nail. Immediately, I took a top coat and brushed it over to make the colors smooth out. It looked like cotton candy to me and I happened to have a cotton candy scented pink polish by Revlon so, I put it on. The smell was to much for me so I put a top coat on to make the smell go away.
I found a new location to shoot my pictures that have more light.... the window.... now why didn't I think of that earlier?

The colors I chose are:
Revlon's "Temptress"
NYC's "French Tip White"
Bon Bon's in blue-green

Here is a video about the technique I used. (I also plan to do this look)

My pictures
I was outside in a vineyard and the light was too nice not to take a picture

NOTD: Pink and Silver

I started this manicure with just the pink color. I then thought it could use a little something extra so, I decided to find a another color that went well with the pink and make a french manicure with it. Silver stood out to me and I made a non traditional french with it. I think it turned out great!
Colors used:
(neither of these polishes have names)
Markwins The Color Workshop, Pink with a bluish sparkle
Bon Bon's in silver
