Swatches: Clearance at Walmart

For a few weeks, the Walmart here has had several nail polishes in a little clearance basket. They were only marked down maybe $.50. Pretty lame. A few days ago, I went and discovered everything had been marked down to $1!! Sweet! I got several and most are from brands I have not tried yet!
Here is what I got:

L'Oreal
     Smell the Roses
     Versailles Romance

Flower (Drew Barrymore's collection!!)
     Venus Fly Trap
     First Bloom

Revlon
    Tangerine
     Cayenne

Updated Swatches: Pure Ice

One of my first posts was pictures of all of my Pure Ice nail polish. It is one of my more popular posts but it is so outdated and is in need of new pictures. Here is my update so people looking for swatches of different Pure Ice can find what they are looking for!
I used to have this really pretty moss green called First Time. Unfortunately, it was knocked off my counter and it broke. It is also discontinued and my Walmart has gotten rid of all of those polishes. :(

Last year, Revlon purchased Pure Ice and Bon Bons, so there are many polishes that have been discontinued or renamed. I have many of them and will put a * by the name. Here is a link to the full list.

Iced Merlot*, All Nighter. Sleigh Ride, First Love

Hot Tamale, Twinkle

Gold Dust*, Bite Me, Jaguar*, Playtime

Power Me Up, Wild Thing, Razzle and Dazzle, Mint Dream*

Celestial, Calypso*, Heart Breaker, Splash, A List

Outrageous, Twinkle (yeah, same name as the orange one)

A List is on this swatch

Don't You Wish, Platinum, Kiss Me Here, Beware, Oh Baby!*, Fivesome

Swatch: Revlon Girly

I have had my eye on this polish for a while now! I finally decided to get it, and I love it!! I love the different sized glitters and colors. It is totally unique to me, I have nothing like it in my collection. I think I used three layers for full coverage.

Swatches: Beauty UK

Here is the set I exchanged from Ross after I had a bottle top break. They didn't have the same set I wanted so I picked out one I also really liked! This is a Beauty UK set, also a brand I have never heard of. The colors are nameless and again, I couldn't find their names online. They do take a little time to dry but they are very opaque in just two coats. I enjoy these colors, they are all very nice ones to have found!

Made up names: Medium purple creme, electric blue creme, dark jade green, sheer pearlescent white, dark hot pink creme

Swatches: Princessa Nail Polish

In my last post I talked about the new Ross store and the nail polish I got there. Here are the swatches!

It is called Princessa. I have never seen it before or even hear about it. There were a couple different sets but I decided on the French Manicure one because I do not have many nude colors and these seemed like a  nice set to get. There are no names on the bottles so I went to their website but still couldn't find anything.
The tag line on the box label is "There is no such thing as natural beauty". Hmmmmmm...... I am not so sure that is a wise thing to put on the packaging, it sure wouldn't be my first choice.

The colors themselves are very easy to apply, dry pretty quick and are great colors for French Manicures! Haha!!!! The stripers are also very nice and I know they will come in handy. This set also came with a top coat, it isn't too bad but I think I will stick with my normal top coat unless I really need to use this one.
The bottle top shape hurts my hand a little when I open it but it isn't that big of a deal.
My favorite is the medium nude (second one). It has this really pretty pink shimmer and it catches the light.

**Update** The white striper's top broke off when I unscrewed it again. I took it back to Ross and got a different set because they did not have this same one. I guess the stripers won't come in handy....

My made up names: dark nude, medium nude, medium nude pink, light nude, white striper, red striper

Swatches: E.L.F Polish

I found these wonderful polishes at Tj Maxx yesterday! I love the quality and the affordability of ELF products. I have purchased other collections from Tj Maxx but it don't usually find them that often. These four polishes were $4.99, not too bad!!

They only needed one coat, I think I used two on the nude color though. They all were smooth and the color is very rich. The weirdest thing about them is the smell. I don't really know how to describe it, it doesn't smell like normal nail polish. It is very strong and the best word I can think of is 'new'. It is not a bad smell, it's just unlike any other nail polish smell.... strange..

I am wearing the "Party Purple" right now! It's very lovely.

Those flaky things you see on "Smoky Brown" are from flocking powder. I didn't notice till I posted this picture.

"Party Purple", "Dark Navy", "Smoky Brown", "Nude"

This is the only Nicole polish I had before I got all of these. It stains my nails so badly, even with base coat. I have no idea why it does but every time I use it my nails turn yellow. So, I don't use it very often!! I still like to use it is small amounts in nail art because I love this color green so much.

Collection: A Gift from a Friend!

My friend just gave me a ton of nail polish as a gift! I love all of it! I want to thank her for giving me so many great colors! Thanks Jessie!

Here is what she gave me:
Sinful Colors "Out of this World"
Sinful Colors "Unicorn"
Sinful Colors "This is It"
Sinful Colors "Purple Diamond"
Sinful Colors "Why Not"
China Glaze "Red Pumps"

She is also letting me borrow a color for Galaxy nails (up next, yay!) by Chelly, shade #116. It is purple in the bottle but with one coat is more blue. Adding more coats makes it as purple as you want to get it! She told me she got it in Texas, I have never seen up here were I live so this is really cool!

I also was shopping at Wal-Mart and found a Hard Candy polish called "Beetle" in the clearance basket! I LOVE this color. I am currently sporting it on my toes. It changes from a copperish greenish color to purple and many other colors depending on the light. It even comes with a ring but unfortunately is too small for me!

Same order as listed above

Shade #116 and Beetle
