NOTD: FFA

Today I had an FFA competition called job interview! I decided I wanted to make a lucky  nail art design, FFA inspired. Even though this is very simple, it makes me happy to have FFA on my fingers. I got 2nd place today and qualified to go onto state! Maybe I will start doing more FFA nail art when I go to events!

Here are my links to my other FFA nail art ideas:  National FFA Week

Day 23: Inspired by a Movie

The movie 27 Dresses with Katherine Heigl was my inspiration. I wanted to represent my favorite dresses and follow have a theme in my nails. On each nail I put a flower on it that was either in a bouquet she held with the dress or was a color on a dress. All of the flowers are roses except the ring finger which has a hyacinth on it. This was sooooooo much fun to come up with the designs and ideas this challenge. I also included all the dress that inspired these nails. This is a very long post, sorry!

Nail Polish Used:
Pure Ice "Platinum"
Wet n' Wild "The Wonder Yellows", and "Sunny Side Up"
NYC "French White Tip" and "Big Apple Red"
Sinful Colors "Why Not", "Unicorn", "Purple Diamond", and "Flower Girl"
E.L.F "Neon Pink"
Revlon "Temptress"
Diamond Cosmetics "Frosty Pink"
Art Deco in light green and purple

Day 22: Inspired by a Song

I am posting twice today! I just really feel like blogging about this right now.
I was inspired by the song "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry. I was lucky to go and see them when I was in Indianapolis for my first concert ever! I love them a lot!
There is a line in the song that really sparked my imagination, here is the chorus part it is in:

If I die young, bury me in satin
Lay me down on a, bed of roses
Sink me in the river, at dawn
Send me away with the words of a love song
That line is what I used as my inspiration. I found this design from a nail artist I am subscribed to, so I took the idea and changed the colors to match the mood of the song. It is a great vintage rose look and I think it goes perfect with the song.

Nail Polish Used:
Revlon "Hot for Chocolate", "Crème Brûlée", "Cherries in the Snow"
Art Deco in Light Green and White
NYC "French White Tip"

31 Day Challenge: Day 21: Inspired by a Color

I am back on track with my 31 Day Challenge! Today is inspired by a color. I couldn't decided on just one color so I chose a category, Fall Colors. Once again, I was on Youtube thinking of designs for fall and this cute little owl design came up! It was super easy and is super cute!! The first color coat goes on like a half moon manicure with the ring enforcers. (Here is a link to my half moon manicure) Then you paint on the tummy, add a nose, then some dots, its eyes, and that is all there is to it.

Nail Polish Used:
Sinful Colors "This is It", "Cloud 9", and "Unicorn"
Wet N' Wild "Silvivor"
NYC "Canal Street", and "Black Lace"
Revlon "Gold Coin"
Pure Ice "Iced Merlot"
Markwins The Color Workshop in an off white

NOTD: Pre-Christmas Poinsettias

Yes, I know. It is the start of November and why the heck am I posting a Christmas design? Well, in fact, I did this design because I visited a poinsettia farm today! I decided to get into the spirit  just a tiny bit early by making a themed nail art for my visit. I promise I will not have anymore Christmas designs until after Thanksgiving!!

As I said, this is supposed to be poinsettias. They started off looking a little boring so I added some glitter. That wasn't enough though, I had to add more.... and more. Lets just say I went a little overboard on the glitter so the poinsettia design doesn't come out as much as I would have liked. That aside, the glitter looks really sweet!

Nail Polish/Supplies used:
Art Deco in red, green, and silver
Sinful Colors "Flower Girl"
Donna Michelle Nail Art mini bottles

I decided because I was around poinsettias with nail art specifically for the visit, I should take pictures with poinsettias!
